Project goal was to come up with creative ideas to utilize the waste, such as sawdust and cut-offs for the maker community in La Yeguada, Panama, in hopes of turning their trash into an economic opportunity. In addition to creating new economic opportunities for the community, the Feeder Sets alongside the other proposal had  multiple ecological benefits: boosting overall ecosystem services that plants provide (soil conservation, carbon sequestration, hosting beneficial insects which can minimize synthetic fertilizers applied to nearby agricultural fields) to providing enriched habitat for Panama’s wildlife.
