Working alongside a woman run maker-community in Kathmandu, Nepal we worked to develop design and making skills and a range of handmade goods that utilized native plant-based resources cultivated in managed forest systems or reforestation scenarios, in order to help rebuild natural systems. Project goal was to introduce new felt-product ideas, utilize an abundant stack of donated cashmere scarfs for new potential products, and to photograph and put together an easily updatable product-catalogue. Goods also helped to provide additional income and skill building to the women in the organization that would help them continue to support their families.
